Before Getting a Piercing

Getting a piercing is an exciting step, but it’s important to remember that it requires care and dedication during the healing process.
Here are a few things to keep in mind before your appointment:

• Avoid swimming, steam baths, or tanning beds for at least the first 6 weeks after your piercing

• Make sure to eat a good meal before your appointment to keep your energy up.

• Feel free to bring a friend for support—we love creating a welcoming and relaxed environment for you.

• Please note that we cannot perform piercings if you are pregnant or nursing.

We’re here to guide you through every step of your piercing journey, and we can’t wait to help you create something beautiful!

Aftercare

Your new piercing is a healing wound and needs proper care. Follow these tips to ensure a smooth recovery:

• Hands off: Only touch your piercing when cleaning it, and always wash your hands first.

• Cleaning: Gently clean 1-2 times daily with a saline solution. Let the solution soak for 1-3 minutes and pat dry with gauze or paper towel. Avoid cotton swabs or fluffy materials.

• Sleeping: Don’t sleep on your piercing to prevent pressure, irritation, or bumps.

• Avoid harsh products: Skip alcohol, iodine, creams, or bandages! saline solution is enough for proper healing.

• Hygiene: Avoid tight, dirty clothing and keep bedding clean. Watch out for cross-contamination (e.g., touching your hair and then your piercing).

If you suspect an infection (redness, swelling, or discharge), don’t remove the jewelry—contact us for guidance. Be patient; healing takes time, even if it looks healed on the outside.
